How critical are the components?
If the items surveyed are critical components to your production deadline they should be surveyed every six-(6) months. 60% of our service is annual, 25% is semiannual, and 15% is quarterly. We service over 340 customers annually.

Are scheduled outages in the future?
If scheduled outages are in your future you need to arrange for the services two-(2) or three-(3) months ahead. This insures you will have time to locate hard to find failing components.

Is the work environment harsh?
Dirty, corrosive, and high vibration areas will need to be surveyed more often.

Are components subject to frequent heavy loading?
High loading of electrical components can cause small problems under normal loading to become extreme during heavy loading. A 4 degree C rise over ambient at 10% load, will increase to 100 degrees C with a 50% load.

Is equipment new or additional to existing?
Surveys should be conducted before acceptance of any new or additional equipment. Just because it's new doesn't mean it was installed properly. Have corrections made before acceptance.
